One of the nice vollies at work, Christine let me borrow Sally Morgan’s My Place. I had better get stuck into it!

Always a voracious reader as a kid, I’m sorry it has dropped off. If I needed any further convincing about getting back to reading I need go no further than Brad Isaac’s 26 Major Advantages to Reading Books article (a Stumble).

  1. Hi Liss,

Just read about the advantages of reading, and thought to tell you that website is a great find. Also when we were kids I liked reading Enid Blyton books about the kids on the Cherry Tree Farm. Also think that I can remember that the kids lived somewhere in the city for a while, and then their parents decided to move out to the country.

Those books about the kids of the Cherry Tree Farm were my most read books too, when I was a kid. And then I just stopped reading for a while though I don’t know why; but I’m also glad that I took reading up again.

I also liked reading about the advantages of reading, as some of the advantages listed on the person’s website confirmed what I already thought.

  2. I have found a terrific free service which might help me read more books – DailyLit serves serialised books daily to your email or by RSS.
