{"id":4070,"date":"2013-12-11T22:26:42","date_gmt":"2013-12-11T12:26:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hamjak.com\/ma2005\/?p=4070"},"modified":"2026-09-04T14:26:29","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T04:26:29","slug":"new-england-and-the-granite-belt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hamjak.com\/ma2005\/2013\/12\/new-england-and-the-granite-belt\/","title":{"rendered":"New England and the Granite Belt"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just had a wonderful couple of days on the road with Mum, visiting Aunty Pam and my old school friend Olga near Armidale in the New England region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the way home we stopped at Stanthorpe and spent some time at Girraween National Park, where we climbed the Pyramid and wandered among the incredible granite formations and wildflowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also caught a dog obedience display and enjoyed some time around Stanthorpe, with its lovely homes, gardens and friendly people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of my favourite little memories came from the motel where we stayed.
