{"id":5872,"date":"2023-06-17T16:13:51","date_gmt":"2023-06-17T06:13:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hamjak.com\/ma2005\/?p=5872"},"modified":"2026-09-04T12:56:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T02:56:59","slug":"little-rosie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hamjak.com\/ma2005\/2023\/06\/little-rosie\/","title":{"rendered":"Little Rosie"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lately we\u2019ve been feeling the emptiness of a house without a dog in it, so on Thursday we set about changing that and adopted Rosie from the Animal Welfare League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was described on the website as a German Shepherd, so we did a bit of a double take when we saw her in real life. She is a rather diminutive version, but very sweet, and she didn\u2019t seem to object to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shelter staff were very pleased to see her going to a new home. As a \u201cgolden oldie\u201d, she is one of the more difficult dogs to rehome. She is only a few months away from turning ten, but there is still plenty of life in her yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She happily follows us around, explores her new surroundings, and seems to be settling in very well. We are very pleased to have her with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rosie came to us at a time when the house felt very empty.
