I’m in week one of my first unit towards a Bachelor of Business. The final exam for this subject is in June, and there are 24 units in the degree, so there is still a long road ahead.
I’m planning to apply for credit from my Diploma of Accounting and may eventually take on two units per semester. For now, though, the main challenge is getting my brain back into gear for critical thinking, academic reading and essay writing.
I enrolled through Open Universities Australia and chose the University of Tasmania program because it includes both Accounting and Management. At this stage I’m leaning towards a major in Management, while hopefully using some of my Accounting studies as credit towards electives.
It feels a little daunting, but also good to be learning again.
