Pamper day

Can’t remember a day when I felt so relaxed and pampered as yesterday, when I spent three hours at the Indooroopilly day spa. My body was in heaven and a couple of times I was thinking I must bring Mum here.

Started off with the relaxing hot stone massage. Went for an hour, the masseuse, Michelle was a lovely lady who made me feel totally comfortable. She said the heat from the stones would make my muscles go to jelly and she wasn’t wrong, the heat and gentle pressure applied to my back, shoulders, legs and feet felt great.

Next I had a facial treatment and nearly fell asleep, it felt lovely and afterwards my skin had the healthiest glow to it. After that, I had almost an hour to spend in my own spa and sauna. When my time was up I think I drifted out on a cloud of contentment.

For a final bit of self-spoiling I went to the cinema at nearby shopping mall and saw Avatar 3-D. You have to wear special glasses – they look like ordinary sunglasses and they turn the blurry screen into three dimensional scenes, it was a fantastic effect. It’s a science fiction story with lots of action and cool visual effects, throughout the movie I was thinking how much Jo would probably enjoy it.
