It was a piece of cake compared to the first one, just a bunch of review questions. Must wait now for the next two units to arrive by mail, they will be the last two of the basic subjects – occupational health and safety, and technology in the workplace. Then I’ll be getting into the meaty bookkeeping bits.

First bookkeeping assignment is off!
I am enjoying a celebratory mug of hot chocolate to commemorate the long awaited completion of my first assignment. There was a bit of research and report writing in this one, I actually learned a few things in the process. I now know the difference between banks, credit unions and building societies, and a little more about the different roles of bookkeeper and accountant. Have also learned some valuable time management skills – I just have to make sure I put them into practice.

And it’s NOT Gayle. The interviews were yesterday, and an applicant was selected for the job – all being well, she starts in a month. Haven’t met her but apparently I’ll like her (according to the other staff who met her).
I’m sorry for Gayle, Ros said she was very disappointed.

Domestic
Poor Sasha nearly had her head bitten off yesterday. The three dogs were outside on the porch, I was leaving for work and heard a doggy dispute, then yelps from Sasha. I’d assumed it was Boss and Ebony having one of their spats but it was Sasha and Ebony. They’ve never fought before, I don’t know what caused this fight.
Poor Sassy was bleeding from her right eye and very shaken, her little heart was beating like a tamba drum. H took her to the vet that morning and discovered a couple of extra puncture wounds on the left side of her head. She is ok now, taking some antibiotics.
A little disgusted with Ebony, hopefully we’ll get over it. Will have to be careful of leaving those two together
