After I went to the library today, as I had to return a book I went back to Luke’s Place and sand painted a drawing of a Jack Russell Terrier. And I decided to do a couple of copies of the original drawing as I didn’t know what to expect with the sand art and I ended up quite impressed and it also wasn’t as messy as I’d thought. Also one of the supervisors was so impressed she suggested that I put it in this year’s art show which I found out last week will be held either at Esk or in Ipswich.

The co-ordinator also liked the artwork I did and asked me if I would do a drawing of her ten year old Jack Russell cross dachshund if she took a photo of the dog? And I said that I would.

Toowoomba Dog Obedience Club had an obedience and agility trial yesterday, and mum took me, Dita and Ilse to it as Ilsa was entered in Novice and mum had Dita in Open. My mum handled Ilse in Novice for me and Ilse worked very well and got very good scores but when she did the recall she came in fast as usual but then went straight to heel. So she didn’t pass in that exercise but still got points for it and I was told that quite a few people that saw Ilse work with mum went up to mum and said “for a dog that didn’t pass she worked well.” Then sometime after Ilse my mother went in the Open ring with Dita but unfortunately they didn’t pass either as Dita went around the jump on her way back to mum.

This is the third book in Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom Trilogy that was published by Allen and Unwin and the book’s ISBN number is 1 74114 307 1 and this story tells us what is happening with the Abhorsen that is called Sabriel and her husband who is King Touchstone, but they aren’t in the main part of the story until virtually the very end when they meet up with Sabriel’s half sister Lirael and their son who is called Prince Sameth, as they and others had to help Lirael stop what is known as The Destroyer becoming whole and Lirael succeeds in doing this.

Lirael also found out much of Hedge’s plan through Nick as he told Lirael about the Lightning Farm when she and her canine companion tried to help Nick to escape from Hedge.

But then after Lirael had told Nick a bit about herself which she realized was a mistake, as it brought The Destroyor out and back in control Lirael then found that she had to leave Nick behind after she’d worked out how to get herself out of trouble as The Destroyer temporarily restricted her movement.

Then once free of the power of The Destroyer Lirael then found Sam, and the others and told them what she had learnt from Nick who was Sam’s friend. And Lirael then decided after letting them know of Hedge’s plan that what needed to be done was to head to a country called Ancelstierre: as she wanted to get to the place where the Lightning Farm was before Hedge did.

But they practically get there at the same time and it was to late to dismantle the Lightning Farm, and Lirael knew she then had to go back into death so she could look back into the past, as it was only when she was in death that she could use the instrument she had that enable her to look back into the past. And Lirael really needed to do it as she needed to find out what was to be done.

Angel Eyes is a supplement for dogs that can help remove tear stains, and it also good for reducing stains on beards.

As I have a dark salt and pepper miniature schnauzer named Ilse who is three years old, and before my mother told me about Angel Eyes Ilsa had quite a bit of staining on her beard and we’ve tried different approaches to reduce the staining like feeding her dry dog food etc but nothing either my mother or I had tried seemed to be very effective.

My mum even shaved Ilsa’s beard off as a vet suggested doing it but when Ilsa’s beard started to grow back the staining on her beard was still there.

So you can imagine how skeptical we both were when I started giving Ilse the Angel Eyes supplement. And she been on it for just over a month and we are finding her newer beard hair is growing back white, and this supplement can be given over a nine month period and gives very clear instructions to how you feed it to a dog and I mix the Angel Eyes supplement with the canned dog food that I give Ilse: as I found that she was not eating it all when I put it on her dry dog food and as you can imagine I’m very pleased with the results of the Angel Eyes supplement.

Mum has been trying to discourage me from buying EVO canned dog food because she knows it is ten dollars a can. But recently I brought three EVO dog food cans and all it cost me was six dollars. And my mother feels better about that. Also I’ve been getting the dog food cans from Pet Goods Direct and I’ve noticed they seem to have mainly dry dog food.

So as I went shopping yesterday at Plainlands with my mother I looked at the canned dog food there, and as I thought about what my mother suggested I decided to buy two cans of Chum, and the variety I chose was the lamb.

I also got a six pack of My Dog canned dog food too which was also lamb and as I was looking at the My Dog food today I noticed that I’ll be able to get the lid off myself as it peels off, and that’s good as I know that I’ll have to get my mum to open the cans of Chum, as these days when I try to open a can with a can opener I end up breaking the can opener.

I also been giving Ilse dry dog food only for quite some time, and found that she seemed to be doing really well on California Natural. But recently I have also decided to give my miniature schnauzer canned dog food too, as well as dry dog food and this is because I like to give Ilse something different to eat.

I wasn’t able to change my destination to Toowoomba yesterday, as too many disabled people wanted to go there and the supervisors needed to get tiles so we can do our mosiacs. So a supervisor asked after she had explained the situation if there was anyone who will go fishing instead of going to Toowoomba and none of the intellectually disabled people who wanted to go to Toowoomba wanted to change. I guess that was so because most of them went fishing last week and didn’t want to go again.

And there was a lot of people who did change their mind about fishing yesterday, and after I changed back to going fishing six people went to Toowoomba which is most of the group and also there was one other physically disabled person who wanted to go to Toowoomba too. 

So after a bit of thought I told the supervisors that I’ll go fishing, and that made it three. And I had to say it twice as having a soft voice they didn’t hear me the first time. 

Also the lack of willingness had made me realise that it seems that physically disabled people are more able to work in with other peoples plans than a person that has a intellectual disability. Anyway the day wasn’t a wasted one: as I ended up catching two small silver perch, and that had made it the first time that I caught something. 

But I got the supervisor that was helping me to put the fish back in the water, and then afterwards I got to go to the library as I had two books there to pick up.

When I went to Luke’s Place on Tuesday I went to the public library as I wanted to read some Robin Hobb stories. So I went there with a list of Robin Hobb books and they also had a Garth Nix book in for me too, but I told the lady that served me that I was leaving the Garth Nix book there as I have already read it.

Also, I must of got the same librarian that mum got, as the librarian then told me that there was a bit of a confusion, though I didn’t say anything back about that. But I knew that if the librarian that mum had went by what I had printed on the list very clearly, instead of wanting to know what books I’ve read in the series which mum couldn’t tell her, there would have been no doubts about what books I wanted. But I still think this librarian that mum had also had put my name down for the last two books in Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom Trilogy Series. So hopefully I’ll get to read those books too.

This is book number two of Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom Trilogy that was published by Allen and Unwin and its ISBN number is ISBN 1741140412. Also this book followed the events of two people and one of them was a girl named Lirael who was waiting to get the sight as she was a daughter of the Clayr and getting the sight was what she expected to happen but it never came. And the other person that this story was about was a prince named Prince Sameth and his family thought he was the abhorsen in waiting.

Prince Sameth was also expected to be studying The Book of The Dead but he never did but I expect that if he was the real abhorsen in waiting he would have been as I think that was one of the powers of this book that his mother who was Sabriel gave him. But Prince Sameth didn’t let anyone in his family know that he wasn’t looking at The Book of The Dead. Also Lirael was a rather depressed person who thought about killing herself before she became a third assistant librarian as having “The Sight” at her age meant everything to her.

And she was quite a powerful Clayr. As she could do magic that was thought impossible for a person her age. She also was prone to wandering the library, and getting into danger and then after experiencing the danger Lirael realizes that she didn’t want to die as she then realizes that she wants to live.

But she was also a very lonely person, and on one of her excursions she found a small statue of a dog and this gives her the idea of performing magic to make her own dog.

As I think she was thinking of returning the statue, but then as she had the statue of the dog in her hand while she thought she was making her own dog the statue somehow became the dog she was making and so it was never returned though this magical dog really enjoyed wandering around the library with her. But even though she seemed proud to be a librarian that wasn’t her destiny.

At Luke’s Place Lockyer today I had the foresight to take some recipe mags, as we were doing cooking today. And what was on the menu was Shepherd’s Pie and also just in case I didn’t have any vegetarian recipes with me the supervisors thought of making a Vegetarian Pie.

But then as I suggested that we make a french vegetarian dish called Ratatouille with Poached Egg which was from a magazine called Good Taste and the coordinator liked the look of it, however though we both agreed that we liked zucchinis better than eggplant: so we then decided to leave the eggplant out, and opted to get four zucchinis instead of two.

Then after we had our list of ingredients the coordinator invited me to go shopping, so I went with some other disabled people who agreed to go too.

And when we got there we then split in two groups, as one group got the ingredients for the Shepherd’s Pie and I found most of the ingredients for the Ratatouille with Poached Egg. And after we brought the food we then returned to Luke’s Place, and the supervisor that was driving suggested that the people that wanted to go to the library could go now. 

Then as I had a couple of books to take back I then went to the library, and when we got back I still helped cook the vegetarian meal by stirring it and when it was ready we then all had our chosen lunch. Also most of the clients went for The Shepherd’s Pie and only one client brought their own lunch.

And I was also surprised that three people elected to have the Vegetarian Pie, but as I told them that I can bring recipes the coordinator and I decided on the Ratatouille with Poached Egg.

Also when I got back from the library a supervisor that stayed behind and helped with the cooking asked me for the recipe for the Ratatouille with Poached Egg so I gave her the recipe. She also told me that if she had known what the vegetarian meal was she would had opted for that instead of the Shepherd’s Pie as she really liked the look of Ratatouille with Poached Egg, and the coordinator told me that she enjoyed eating the vegetarian meal too.
