I can read books for hours, but occasionally I go through periods where I don’t read a book at all. And when this happens I then break the pattern by reading a book or two.

I have three book shelves that were previously full of books, but they are a bit empty now. As I have taken books off the shelves that I thought that I won’t be reading anymore, and only kept the books that I would want to read.

I also updated my Jo’s Reading List Page and deleted the titles that I have now put in containers, and my mum said that she’ll take the books that are in containers to Life Line.

Toowoomba Dog Obedience Club had an obedience and agility trial yesterday, and mum took me, Dita and Ilse to it as Ilsa was entered in Novice and mum had Dita in Open. My mum handled Ilse in Novice for me and Ilse worked very well and got very good scores but when she did the recall she came in fast as usual but then went straight to heel. So she didn’t pass in that exercise but still got points for it and I was told that quite a few people that saw Ilse work with mum went up to mum and said “for a dog that didn’t pass she worked well.” Then sometime after Ilse my mother went in the Open ring with Dita but unfortunately they didn’t pass either as Dita went around the jump on her way back to mum.

Last night my mum decided to go to Ipswich Dog Training, and she also decided to take Dita, Ilse, and me. And while Ilse was waiting her turn to get put through a runout, a mother and daughter came up to admire Ilse and I heard this mother tell her daughter, always ask the person with a dog if you can pat their dog but the girl was a bit shy and so her mother asked instead. And this lady also told me that they have two minis of the same breed and colour at home, and I found out that one of their mini schnauzers was named Poppy and she was the same age as Ilse.

Yesterday I went shopping at Plainlands with mum instead of swimming, and I brought Ilse a box of Lucky Dog Mini Dog Biscuits (the beef and bacon flavoured variety). And when I got home I picked up the box of dog biscuits and the bottom of the box came undone and all the biscuits poured out onto the floor.

I then turned the box upside down and picked up all the dog biscuits. And I think Ilse managed to get one while I was preoccupied as I heard her making crunching sounds. Then after I had finished picking the dog biscuits up I then transferred them into another container.

Ilse has been licking one of her back feet on and off for a couple of days, and I got my mother to look at it yesterday and she found that one of Ilsa’s toenails is missing.

I have recently became aware of another one of my spelling errors and it is supervisor, and supervisor is the correct spelling and I originally spelt this word as superviser which is incorrect. And it also shows that even though I am normally very good at spelling words I still need the dictionary to look words up.

Then another way that I come to know the correct spelling of certain words is through reading books. I also think that the reason why I notice how words are spelt is because I write.

I was a person that had trouble drinking water, and so there were times when I didn’t drink enough. But after hearing my mum say that drinking water doesn’t mean frequent visits to the loo and then reading that some of the characters in The Ranger’s Apprentice books drank small amounts of water frequently I then decided to give it a go and found that my mother was right. Also as I have also drank large amounts of water I now realize that doing so was putting me off drinking water and so that’s another reason why it’s better to drink small amounts more often, as I discovered that drinking small amounts of water more often doesn’t put me off drinking water.

I could always read well. And when I was reading a book yesterday, I came across a word that I knew I have spelt wrongly when I was writing the day before. This word was definitely, and when I wrote it the other day I spelt it definately. Also sometimes I don’t pronounce words correctly, but this isn’t a big problem with me as when I talk to people and depending on what we are talking about they tell me that they can understand me quite well. But I notice that when I do mispronounce words when I’m writing, occasionally I spell some words incorrectly.

As we were having our dinner last night mum and Auntie Irene (her sister) both admitted that they didn’t like Olive Oil. Irene told us she hated going into a restuarant and they just assume you like it and mum answered yes its not something that you can put on then take off. And although I knew that they were talking about salad dressings I replied “what the cartoon character?”
