New Haiku Poems
January 6th, 2008 @ 7:48 am

When Liss and I went to see The Golden Compass I was telling her that I have over eighty Haiku Poems on my Haiku page, and she suggested putting some of them here so here are some of my new poems:

Coolest Christmas

It was an overcast
day on Christmas
day two thousand
and seven.

Not So Tasty

When my mother
brought Ilse back
inside my flat a
moth went in
mum’s mouth.

Training Ilse

I was training my
dog Ilse as a man
next door was
mowing his
lawn.

Voice Responsive

When my dog saw
wild ducks she went
to pull on the lead
but then stopped.

The Weather Today

Today I can see a
blue sky and clouds
and can also hear
the wind.

Sometime After Lunch

Sometime after lunch it
turned cloudy and it looks
like we’re in for rain.

Looking Outside

When I looked up one
window was grey, and
the other was blue
with clouds.

I always enjoy reading your haiku poetry Jo. I love the way they seem to capture a moment in time.
