On Writing PoetryApril 5th, 2008 @ 12:20 pm
I think it was Wednesday when I was talking to mum about my poetry, and she told me the one that she thought is the best out of my poems is the diamante about dogs and cats; she also told me that she didn’t like my haiku poems and then told me why, though she admitted that they capture a moment in time and I told mum that’s the reason Liss gave me when she told me why she liked my haiku.
Anyway, I then told mum that I didn’t like poetry much myself and just write them because: they are a form of writing. And mum told me that writing poetry because of the reason I gave would make them more interesting, as poetry is about using words in a certain way.
