A Barbeque LunchMay 25th, 2008 @ 10:54 pm
Yesterday, mum came in my room and told me that my sister Liss has invited me to a barbeque lunch that was held in Ipswich somewhere. So I went to the barbeque instead of clicker training.
Also it was a charity barbeque as it is Hospice Week and I found out from Liss that: the guy that owns the house where the barbeque was held yesterday puts on a barbeque every year at his house to raise funds for the hospice that my sister works for. And it was an enjoyable day Liss and I had a hamburger, and shared the hot chips and then we had some dutch donuts which Liss told me are called holey moley.
They also had stalls there too, and I had a good look at the books while I was there. Also noticed that they had a big jar of jelly beans which people had to try and guess how many was in the jar. They also had plenty of raffles and an auction. I also enjoyed listening to the band that was playing the music there.

Glad you enjoyed the barbeque Jo. The Dutch donuts are called Olle Bollen. A little boy won the jar of jelly beans – he guessed 2173 and the jar contained 2175 – very close! I spoke to Hans today and he said about 400 people attended on the day, and it was the biggest turn out they have ever had, he was very happy with how it went.
