The Book From Baden Dark is the third book in the series, and it starts off with Marcel being in Noam where he can increase his education in magic further. And his friend who is a girl called Bea and also is half elf and half human is wondering whether her place is really among the elves.

Then a couple of strange creatures turn up, and one is discovered by Bea who grabbed one of the creatures thinking that it was Marigold or another elf then after she was bitten she lets go of the creature and then as she wonders what it is she then decides to find her grandfather who is called Longbeard and is the leader of the elves. Bea then finds her grandfather, and after she found her moment to tell him her grandfather then gets Bea to draw a picture in the dirt, and this leads to the creatures being searched for and captured and they are then taken back to where they came from.

Bea then discovers a secret that is kept by her grandfather and another elf called Ebert. And because Bea is desperate to get her grandfather back whether he is dead or alive she then sends a magical message to let Marcel know that she needs his help. Also this is something that she wasn’t suppose to do because Marcel is human and elves like to keep their secrets to themselves. Marcel then recieves a message from his sister who is Nicola telling him that she got a message from Bea and she wants his help. And then as Marcel now knows more magic he uses it to speed up his return. He then meets his cousin who is Fergus and as they return to the castle Fergus notices a great change in Marcel as Fergus realizes and even says it to Bea later on that Marcel seems to do magic just because he can.
