Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Yesterday Liss and I went to Redbank to watch the newest Harry Potter movie, and on the way to Redbank I was telling Liss that I was baaing at Ilse as she doesn’t like it when I leave but she’s only a puppy and during the day she always settles down. I then told Liss that the baaing sounded like a growl and after I gave Liss a demo and told her Ilse is very responsive to it; Liss cracked up and told me it sounded frightening and dared me to do it in the cinema while we were watching the Harry Potter movie; but though I did think about it several times while we were there I didn’t because I thought that I would have been kicked out.

Then getting back to the Order of the Phoenix, what was very noticeable is that it was at times different from the book, and I realise that all the Harry Potter movies are different but I found the Order of the Phoenix movie is more different from its book version than any other Harry Potter movie though this didn’t bother me.

Also one of my favourite parts in the movie is when Lucius Malfoy turns around and sees Sirius Black, and Sirius tells him leave my godson alone and as Harry gave Lucius the orb that Voldemort tricked Harry into getting the orb ends up being smashed, as Sirius hits Lucius and also only the people who the prophecies are referring to or are made to are the only ones who originally can touch that particular orb. Then another difference in the movie was that Cho Chang was the one that told Umbridge about the Room of Requirement that the group called Dumbledore’s Army was practising in and not her friend Marietta.

Also, I know that perhaps this is being nasty but I have to say that: I was a bit disappointed when the teenagers signed their names on the piece of paper as in the book J K Rowling had Hermione put a curse on the paper beforehand, and in doing so this made anyone who joined the DA who then decided to tell anyone who wasn’t to know about them suddenly erupt in a faceful of pimples that won’t go away; but then again I guess it is nicer to have Cho Chang being tricked into taking a potion that made the drinker tell the truth.

Hi, just finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book but before I read it I made sure I finished reading the sixth book and really enjoyed reading the Deathly Hallows. I cried after reading the part about Dobby the free house elf as he ends up being killed by Bellatrix who is a proud Death Eater.

I was also pleased to discover that Professor Snape did all he could to protect Harry.

Very sad about Dobby. I always suspected Snape would do the right thing by Harry.
